DISCOGRAPHY CD Dança dos Xapiris
Michelangelo Pagnano’s musical adventure started in Brazil, his native country, where he grew up with popular music lulling his childhood. Ore of poetry extracted from the streets’ daily life and the constant blends of all latitudes, his compositions resonate in the way of Africa’s and Amazonia’s double beats. His settling in Switzerland, while experiencing adolescent metamorphosis and breakages, comes to complete the horizon.Deeply loyal to the self-taught genius of this generous culture, sensitive and naturally gifted in Inventions and improvised meditations, Michelangelo develops a mixed ethno-jazz inspiration and research on the frequencies and timbres, never abandon plasticity. Having reached maturity, he founded Michelangelo4tet, with cellist Karsten Hochchapel, percussionist Didier Métrailler and flutist Fanny Ménégoz. Seeks to develop an organic tone, constituting an original acoustic space, resonating with breathing sound beings that populate our daily lives and are our interactions with the world, Michelangelo4tet up with Danca dos Xapiri Amazonian inspiration.
